Registration:
Register on ERP during the Add/Drop period of the semester and state the track of the BTP (research/ engineering/ entrepreneurship). The track may be decided or changed until the late drop date. The registration must be done in each semester. (IMPORTANT)

Q1. Can I make BTP Report in a format different from the specified format?
Ans. Any deviation from BTP Report structure requires the approval of the UGC chair which needs to be obtained before the late course drop date in the respective semester. It is recommended that the interim BTP reports use the same template and try to follow the same structure (items which are not yet done may be omitted).

Q2. Can the project/supervisor be changed in the middle of a BTP?
Ans. If a change of project/supervisor is desired for unusual circumstances, it must be approved by the BTP coordinator.

Q3. How is the evaluation done in case of a group of two students?
Ans. If BTP is being done by 2 students, then the students have to clearly state the distribution of the work.  The work of the two students will be evaluated individually but the thesis does not necessarily have to be different.

Q4. Can I discontinue BTP after one semester?
Ans. A student or the supervisor may decide not to continue with the BTP after one semester. In that case the BTP will not appear explicitly on the final transcript as a completed BTP (it will of course appear in the list of courses done).

Q5. What is the maximum number of BTP/IP/IS/UR I can register for in one semester?
Ans. Normally, a student can register for at most one IS/IP/UR in one semester, and along with the BTP, the total credits for these should not be more than 8 in one semester.

Q6. What all is written in the final BTP Report? (VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION)
Ans. (This answer is included in Report Requirements above)
